If we told you that the Chrysler Sterling Heights manufacturing facility was in hard times only a few years ago chances are you wouldn't believe us based on how it's doing today. Currently, the plant produces topnotch models like the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. And, while Chrysler promised to build an  and now Chrysler is planning on investing further in the plant's production by installing an $850-million paint shop back in 2010, they're not planning to up the ante even more with the addition of a $165-million body shop as well.

"Today, the plant is thriving with 900 new employees and additional investment that recognizes the commitment and dedication of this highly-skilled workforce toward building a successful Chrysler Group."¹

For those of you who aren't aware of who the UAW are, they're the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agriculture Implement Workers of America, an International Union, and one of the most prominent ones in North America today. The union recently opened negotiations with Chrysler in regards to a new four-year labor contract, part of which includes the investment of $4.5 billion and creating over two-thousand jobs.
